Desk & Seat Occupancy Sensor VS341 – Milesight VS341

The Milesight VS341 is a compact desk and seat occupancy sensor designed to deliver reliable occupancy status for workplace and building applications. By combining PIR and a thermopile sensor, it evaluates both motion and temperature changes within the target area, improving confidence compared to motion-only approaches—especially in real office environments.

With LoRaWAN (EU868), the VS341 supports low-power, wireless rollout without needing local network cabling at every desk or seat. Low latency enables near real-time occupancy updates, helping organizations run hot desking programs more efficiently, automate lighting/HVAC based on actual usage, and produce clean occupancy data for space planning.

The sensor includes multiple PIR covers to adjust detection angles and focus on the intended desk/seat area, reducing unwanted triggers. It also supports Milesight D2D for direct device-to-device interactions (depending on your D2D setup) where ultra-fast local actions are required.
