Product Description Technical Details

The Milesight CT310 is designed for wireless current monitoring on larger conductors and higher-load electrical systems. It works as a smart current transformer with a clamp-style sensing core, allowing current to be measured without cutting the wire or interrupting the circuit. This makes it especially useful for retrofit installations in existing electrical systems.

The CT310 version is rated for up to 1000 Arms per current transformer, which makes it suitable for applications where smaller ranges are not enough. Typical use cases include main and sub distribution boards, larger machines, production lines, ventilation and cooling systems, commercial buildings, hospitals, and other electrical infrastructures with higher loads. In these environments, the goal is usually not just to see an instant value, but to understand load profiles, operating status, and abnormal behavior early.

One of the main advantages is self-powered operation from the measured circuit. This removes the normal dependency on batteries. For installations with difficult access or many monitoring points, that can reduce maintenance effort significantly. The unit can also be powered through USB Type-C where needed, for configuration or certain deployment situations.

The CT310 measures RMS current, calculates accumulated ampere-hours in real time, and supports alarm functions for current thresholds, over-current, and temperature. An external temperature sensor is available for monitoring wire temperature as well. This is useful where electrical consumption and thermal stress both need to be tracked, for example in overload-prone or critical installations.

For integrators, another relevant point is the one-to-three design, which allows the system to be used across up to three different conductors or targets. That makes the CT310 a strong fit for energy monitoring projects, load analysis, and condition-based monitoring in professional LoRaWAN deployments.
