Dragino DS03A-NB NB-IoT Open/Close Sensor

The Dragino DS03A-NB is an NB-IoT open/close sensor designed to track whether something is open or closed—not just doors, but also windows, gates, service hatches, maintenance panels, and similar access points. Using NB-IoT, it sends data to your IoT platform, for example Kilo Cloud (app.kiloiot.io), where you can view the current state and analyze open duration and open counts for operations, security, and compliance.

By default, the device sends a heartbeat every 2 hours and can also uplink on each open/close action. If you want to reduce traffic, per-event uplinks can be disabled—then the sensor counts events locally and reports them periodically. The open alarm feature can trigger an alert if an access point stays open longer than a configured threshold (e.g., a window left open overnight, a service hatch not closed after maintenance, or a gate left open).

For locations with unstable coverage, the built-in datalog stores events while the NB-IoT connection is down and uploads them once the network is back. The unit is designed for outdoor use with a weatherproof enclosure and a rugged probe cable for environments where durability matters more than aesthetics.
