IoT, Lorawan Gateways
Choose a LoRaWAN gateway for your EU868 project by checking indoor or outdoor installation, Ethernet or cellular backhaul, and support for your network server. For connection to Kilo, confirm LoRa Basics Station support on the selected variant. Plan placement, power and radio coverage together with your sensors.

Buy a LoRaWAN gateway for your installation
A LoRaWAN gateway receives sensor radio messages and forwards them to a network server through its internet connection. Start with the installation location and available backhaul: Ethernet inside a building, cellular connectivity at a remote site, or an outdoor model for exposed mounting. An additional gateway provides another reception point; it is not a simple radio signal booster.

Match your LoRaWAN gateway, sensors and network server
The gateway and LoRaWAN sensors must support the frequency plan used at the installation site. EU868 hardware is not automatically suitable for US915. Check the connection protocol required by your network server. For Kilo, verify LoRa Basics Station support on the exact gateway variant and firmware.
Select an antenna for the frequency band, connector and mounting location. Walls, metal, terrain and sensor placement affect reception. A general range figure cannot replace a coverage check at the intended installation.
How many LoRaWAN gateways do you need?
The answer depends on the buildings, measurement points and radio conditions. Start with a suitable gateway location and test the actual sensor positions. Additional gateways can reduce coverage gaps and provide alternative reception paths. Compare the listed models against those requirements before ordering your LoRaWAN gateway.
