The Dragino DR-TS1 is a high-precision online turbidity sensor for continuous water quality monitoring. It uses the scattered-light (nephelometric) principle: particles in the water scatter incoming light, and the sensor measures the intensity of side-scattered light to calculate NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units) based on internal calibration. To keep readings stable in real installations, the DR-TS1 uses infrared optics plus optical filtering to suppress ambient light interference.
Built for long-term deployments, the DR-TS1 features an IP68-rated housing and a seawater-resistant cable, allowing direct submersion without protective tubing. That makes it well suited for:
wastewater and treatment monitoring
rivers, lakes, and reservoirs
industrial process water and loops
smart city / environmental sensing projects
For integration, the sensor provides an RS485 interface using Modbus-RTU, and an optional 4–20 mA output is available for traditional control and measurement systems. It supports automatic temperature compensation and operates reliably from 0 to 60 °C. The DR-TS1 is fully compatible with the Dragino WQS-NB main module, delivering real-time turbidity data for low-maintenance water analysis.
