Technical Details
The Sensor Hub soil monitoring solution consists of the modular RAK2560 Sensor Hub, a Sensor Probe IO, and a high-quality soil moisture sensor. The stainless-steel probes ensure long service life and reliable outdoor measurements. Electrical conductivity as well as soil temperature and moisture are transmitted continuously and energy-efficiently over LoRaWAN®. Using a splitter cable allows multiple probes to be connected to a single port and enables monitoring at different depths.
This version is designed exclusively for LoRaWAN® networks—NB-IoT is not supported here. For operation with Sensor Probe IO and an external sensor, power must be supplied via a mains adapter. Optionally, a solar panel can also be connected.
