The Dragino WQS-LB is the main unit for water quality monitoring in LoRaWAN deployments. It does not perform direct measurement on its own. Instead, it connects up to three compatible water quality probes and sends their readings over LoRaWAN on EU868. That makes it suitable for installations where individual measurement points need to report back without local mains power and without more complex wiring.
Typical use cases include monitoring points in water treatment, technical water circuits in industrial plants, environmental water observation, and wastewater control points. It also fits tap water and process water installations where conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, ORP, turbidity, or residual chlorine need to be tracked at intervals from remote sites. For system integrators, this is useful when several water parameters need to be collected at one location without building a permanently powered cabinet around the installation.
The WQS-LB supports one to three probes, so it can be used for compact single-point monitoring as well as for multi-parameter stations. In practical deployments, that could mean combining conductivity, pH, and dissolved oxygen at one sampling point, or tracking pH, residual chlorine, and turbidity in a treatment line. The value is in continuous remote monitoring of water condition, threshold violations, and process drift rather than occasional spot checks.
Bluetooth 5.1 helps with on-site setup, OTA updates reduce service visits, and battery operation makes the unit workable at distributed field locations. One important point for the product listing: the WQS-LB is the main unit only. Probes are not included and need to be selected separately for the required measurement parameters.
