Product Description Technical Details

The Dragino WQS-NB is an NB-IoT node designed for practical, multi-parameter water quality monitoring. It acts as a main module that lets you connect one to three water quality probes at a single site, then uplinks the readings over NB-IoT to your backend. It’s a strong option when LoRaWAN coverage isn’t available, but you still want a clean, low-maintenance way to capture multiple water parameters at one measurement point.

Depending on your setup, it supports common probe types such as:

EC (electrical conductivity)

pH

DO (dissolved oxygen)

ORP (redox)

TS (turbidity/solids – probe dependent)

CL (chlorine – probe dependent)

Typical deployments include tap water, industrial water, aquaculture, aquariums, and wastewater monitoring. In real installations, the node sends values periodically, while alarms, thresholds, and analytics are handled server-side.

For rollout and maintenance, the WQS-NB supports Bluetooth 5.1 (BLE) for configuration and firmware updates, as well as downlink for remote parameter changes. Data uplinks can be sent using MQTT, MQTTs, TCP, UDP, or CoAP, and AT commands are available for advanced configuration. The device is built for ultra-low power operation, with an IP68 rating for harsh environments. For flow-channel installations, a 30–60 L/h flow range is specified, along with 0.6 MPa pressure resistance and a 5 m cable.
