The Milesight UC502 N03GL is a rugged multi-interface controller designed to connect multiple sensor types at a single site and deliver the data over NB-IoT/Cat.M. It functions as a practical sensor hub: acquire signals from industrial interfaces, convert them into usable values where needed, store them locally, and transmit to your IoT platform without requiring you to deploy your own RF infrastructure.
UC502 is the right pick when your priority is long unattended runtime and field-replaceable primary batteries. It is powered by 3× ER26500 Li-SOCl2 batteries (9000 mAh each) and can also be supplied via 5–24 VDC through the M12 connector. The -30°C to +70°C operating range helps in exposed outdoor deployments and unheated technical environments.
To improve data integrity in real networks, it supports local data storage (up to 10,000 entries), data retrieval, retransmission, and cumulative reporting (up to 12 packets per report) to reduce transmission cost and power draw while keeping reporting complete. Threshold alarms and change alarms enable actionable monitoring rather than just data logging.
With SDI-12, UC502 fits environmental and field instrumentation well. For industrial retrofit projects, RS485 Modbus RTU and 4–20 mA / 0–10 V analog inputs help bring existing sensors online over NB-IoT with minimal site work. GPIO can be used as a pulse counter for metering scenarios.
