The RAK5146 USB LPWAN Concentrator Module is a compact and cost-efficient solution for building professional LoRaWAN® gateways operating in the EU868 band. It is based on the Semtech SX1303 baseband processor combined with the SX126x, enabling the Listen Before Talk (LBT) feature required for regulatory compliance in Europe.

Designed in a standard mini-PCIe form factor, the module connects via USB, making it easy to integrate into routers, industrial computers, and embedded Linux platforms without complex RF design. This makes it especially suitable for Raspberry-Pi-based and industrial gateway deployments.

An onboard u-blox ZOE-M8Q GPS receiver provides accurate time synchronization and fine timestamping, which is essential for reliable LoRaWAN network operation, packet correlation, and large-scale deployments.

The RAK5146 delivers up to 10 programmable parallel demodulation paths, 8×8-channel LoRa packet detection, and simultaneous demodulation across multiple spreading factors (SF5–SF12). This ensures stable performance even under high network load, making it ideal for smart metering, industrial IoT, and fixed LoRaWAN infrastructure.
