Dragino LDS25-LB – LoRaWAN LiDAR ToF Distance Sensor with Auto-Cleaning (25 m, 868 MHz)
The Dragino LDS25-LB is a battery-powered LoRaWAN LiDAR distance sensor with auto-cleaning function for measurements up to 25 m. This EU868 version fits bulk material, feed storage, industrial stock monitoring, containers, and other measurement points where dust affects optics and distance data still needs to be sent reliably to an IoT server such as Kilo or other compatible platforms.

The Dragino LDS25-LB is built for distance measurement in environments where optical sensors lose accuracy more quickly because of dust build-up. It uses LiDAR time-of-flight measurement and adds an integrated auto-cleaning function for the optical surface. A built-in brush structure removes dust from the optical window, making the sensor a practical choice at sites where dirt, dust, or fine particles are part of normal operation.
Typical use cases include bulk material bins, feed storage, silos, hoppers, industrial containers, storage bins, and other monitoring points where stock level, fill height, or distance needs to be tracked over longer range. This applies to feed material in agriculture, stock monitoring in industrial environments, loose raw materials, recycling material, or other dry media where dust is an expected operating condition. In those installations, the cleaning function is not just an extra feature. It directly helps reduce maintenance and keeps the sensing point usable for longer.
With up to 25 m measurement range at high reflectivity, the LDS25-LB fits both vertical and horizontal distance measurement where a defined target point is needed. The narrow 3° field of view helps focus the sensor on a specific surface or material edge rather than taking in too much of the surrounding area. For integrators, that matters when a clearly defined target zone needs to be monitored.
The sensor fits industrial, agricultural, and technical storage applications where stock level, material height, proximity, or state changes need to be monitored wirelessly over LoRaWAN. Bluetooth v5.1 helps with commissioning, OTA updates reduce maintenance work, and the LB version with its 8500 mAh Li/SOCl2 battery is intended for long-term deployment at fixed measurement points.
