The RAKwireless RAK19009 is a mini WisBlock carrier board for space-constrained builds that still need a clean, modular architecture. Its key advantage is the dedicated power slot: instead of integrating one fixed power design, the board requires a compatible power board/module so you can select the supply method that fits your deployment.
The layout includes one slot for a WisBlock Core module, one slot for the power module, and two module slots (C and D). The Core and power module mount on the top side, while the WisBlock modules mount on the bottom side—helpful for compact stacking in tight housings. High-speed board-to-board connectors provide secure interconnects designed to preserve bus signal integrity, and screw mounting adds mechanical stability for deployments exposed to vibration.
For bring-up and custom integration, the RAK19009 also exposes two 2.54 mm pitch headers with access to BOOT, I2C, and UART pins. When your mechanical design requires sensors to be positioned away from the main board, a compatible sensor extension cable can be used to relocate modules within the enclosure. Common applications include compact wireless sensor nodes, environmental monitoring, wireless data transmission, and industrial data acquisition.
