The Dragino PS-NB-NA is built for measurement points where standard analog sensors need to be connected over NB-IoT. It reads current and voltage signals, converts them into digital values, and sends the data over the cellular network to the platform. That makes it useful for retrofit work and remote installations where existing 4–20 mA or voltage-output sensors should stay in use.
Typical use cases include shafts, tanks, water and environmental monitoring points, outdoor utility installations, building infrastructure, agriculture, and remote industrial sites. The value here is not a complex local controller, but a way to bring an existing analog sensor into an IoT system without extra data cabling. This is especially practical where only a few sensing points are needed or where LoRaWAN is not part of the site design.
The PS-NB-NA provides 5 V and 12 V output for powering external sensors. That makes it suitable for many common analog devices that deliver current or voltage output. In practice, this could be a level sensor, pressure sensor, industrial transmitter, or another analog measurement device. For integrators, the main appeal is keeping existing sensor hardware in service while adding wireless backhaul.
One key point for this version: the PS-NB-NA is battery-operated and not solar-powered. The 8500 mAh Li/SOCl2 battery is intended for long-term deployment. BLE configuration and OTA updates simplify installation and maintenance, while multiple uplink options such as MQTT, MQTTs, TCP, and UDP make it easier to connect to different IoT platforms.
