LoRaWAN PIR & Light Sensor (EU868) – Milesight WS202-868M

The Milesight WS202-868M is an indoor sensor designed to feed building automation with the two signals that matter most for lighting decisions: occupancy (PIR) and ambient light (lux). You can set a custom lux threshold so the device classifies the space as bright or dark, enabling consistent control logic across different rooms and lighting designs.

For connectivity, WS202 supports LoRaWAN Class A with OTAA/ABP, making it compatible with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers. It also supports Milesight D2D (device-to-device) over LoRa, allowing compatible Milesight nodes to communicate directly without a gateway—useful when you want lower latency and reduced infrastructure cost for local control scenarios.

Deployment is straightforward for retrofits: configuration via NFC using a mobile app, status indication via LED, and an internal reset button. Battery power (ER14335 Li-SOCl2) supports long service intervals, making the sensor suitable for scalable rollouts across multiple rooms or floors.
