The Dragino SN50v3-LB is a LoRaWAN sensor node built for professional deployments where you want flexible sensor connectivity and reliable long-range uplinks without relying on cellular SIMs. It’s designed to help developers and system integrators move quickly from concept to a rugged field installation: connect your sensors, collect readings efficiently, and uplink data over LoRaWAN (EU868) to your network server and IoT platform.
Commissioning and ongoing maintenance are field-friendly: configure locally via BLE 5.1, maintain firmware through wireless OTA updates, and tune parameters via downlink. Because it’s open source and based on the STM32 ecosystem (STM32Cube/HAL), it’s also a strong choice if you plan to customize firmware or build a productized solution on top.
Interface flexibility is a key advantage: you get digital I/O with interrupt support, multiple one-wire interfaces (great for temperature probes), plus UART and I²C for a wide range of sensor modules. A controllable +5 V output can power external sensors when needed. The M16 cable entry supports clean, durable wiring in real installations.
Common industries and real-world use cases:
Agriculture & irrigation: Distributed sensors, pump/valve status, remote monitoring across fields.
Smart metering: Pulse/contact inputs and periodic reporting to LoRaWAN backends.
Building automation: Plant rooms, equipment status, temperature probes, contact closures.
Smart city / infrastructure: Outdoor nodes for utility monitoring where LoRaWAN coverage exists.
Industrial sites: Remote measurement points, condition monitoring, asset/plant status sensing.
