RAKwireless RAK1902 brings accurate barometric pressure sensing to WisBlock systems in a very small footprint. It’s built around the ST LPS22HB, a digital piezoresistive pressure sensor that works as an I2C barometer, so it integrates cleanly into technical prototypes and production-oriented sensor designs alike.

With a measurement range of 260 to 1260 hPa and ±0.1 hPa pressure accuracy, the module is well suited for weather and environmental data logging where pressure trends matter—such as weather-front detection, storm trend monitoring, and relative altitude change tracking. It also supports onboard temperature measurement (within the specified temperature range and accuracy), which can be useful for basic context and compensation workflows in embedded systems.

Power budget is often the deciding factor in remote deployments, and the RAK1902 is designed for low-power operation. In WisBlock builds, the module can also be fully powered down to reduce system consumption further when measurements are only needed periodically. Pair it with other WisBlock sensors (e.g., temperature/humidity) to build a compact weather station or environmental node. Combined with a WisBlock Core such as the RAK4631, the collected data can be forwarded depending on your setup via LoRaWAN, LoRa point-to-point, or BLE.
