The RAKwireless RAK13101 is a WisBlock GSM/GPRS cellular module based on the Quectel MC20CE for regions where LTE is not available. It also supports GNSS (BeiDou/GPS/GLONASS/QZSS), Nano SIM, external antennas, and Micro-USB debug/log output.

The RAKwireless RAK13101 adds GSM/GPRS connectivity to the WisBlock platform using the Quectel MC20CE cellular module. It’s positioned for deployments where LTE coverage is unavailable, allowing IoT devices to operate over 2G/GPRS networks that may still be present in many regions.
In addition to GSM/GPRS, the module supports GNSS and multiple satellite constellations: BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, and QZSS (system dependent). A built-in LNA is listed to help with reception performance. For integration, the module provides MHF/IPEX connectors for external GSM and GNSS antennas and supports a Nano SIM.
For development and troubleshooting, a Micro-USB connector is included for debug and log output. The module runs from a 3.3 V supply and has a compact 25 × 45 mm form factor.
Practical use cases include:
Telemetry where LTE is unavailable: periodic sensor/status reporting over GPRS
Legacy coverage deployments: upgrading monitoring nodes without changing network footprint
Simple tracking with GNSS: position + status messaging (application dependent)
