Product Description Technical Details

The Milesight UC300 L05EU is not a single-purpose sensor. It is a compact IoT controller built for distributed monitoring and control tasks with cellular connectivity. It combines several industrial interface types in one device and fits projects where different field signals need to be collected, processed, and forwarded. Instead of combining a separate gateway with additional field controllers, the UC300 takes this role directly as a central node.

Typical use cases include utility rooms, panel retrofits, substations, water and environmental systems, energy and utility points, pump stations, building automation, and smaller industrial installations. In these applications, several analog and digital signals often need to be handled at the same time, such as pressure, level, temperature, pulse signals, switching states, or serial sensor data. That is exactly the type of job the UC300 is built for.

The controller provides digital inputs and outputs, analog inputs, PT100 inputs, plus RS232 and RS485. This allows Modbus devices, temperature probes, current loop signals, voltage signals, and switch contacts to be combined in one field controller. For integrators, one important point is that the cellular version supports up to 16 field devices over RS485. That makes it a practical collection point for distributed sensors and simple automation tasks.

A key feature is local logic. With the built-in IF-THEN command system, the UC300 can execute actions autonomously even when the platform connection is unavailable. This is useful for threshold logic, switching tasks, scheduled data collection, or local reactions to input signals. In many deployments, that autonomous operation is critical because field logic should not depend entirely on the cloud.

The L05EU version works as a 4G LTE CAT 1 controller with additional WCDMA and GSM support depending on region. It is therefore well suited to sites where no LoRaWAN infrastructure is available or where cellular is preferred as the direct backhaul. USB Type-C for configuration and power, DIN rail mounting, a metal housing, and flexible cloud integration make the UC300 a practical hardware base for professional IoT projects.
