The Dragino SW3L-LB-020 is intended for water lines with larger pipe diameter and measures flow in G2″ or DN50 pipes. It does more than count water volume. It also tracks flow status and can report events when unusual water movement is detected. That matters in installations where larger water lines need ongoing monitoring instead of occasional manual reading.

Typical use cases include main water lines in buildings, technical supply branches, sub-distribution lines in larger facilities, water feeds in commercial properties, infrastructure sites, and industrial environments. In these installations, the goal is usually not to measure a single outlet, but to track the consumption of an entire area, technical system, or larger pipe section. That is exactly where the DN50 version fits better than smaller pipe sizes.

The sensor sends volume data periodically and can also report status changes or alarm events. This is useful when water consumption needs to be logged and also checked for anomalies such as leaks, failed valves, running consumers, or unexpected water flow outside operating hours. For building and facility operators, that can help catch avoidable water loss earlier.

The SW3L-LB-020 is designed for indoor and outdoor use, supports wall mounting, and runs on an industrial battery intended for long service life. For integrators, it is a practical option when larger water lines need to be connected to a LoRaWAN network without extra communication cabling. The LB version uses an 8500 mAh Li/SOCl2 battery and is meant for long-term deployment at fixed measurement points.
