The RAK15005 FRAM Module is a reliable, energy-efficient, and long-lasting non-volatile memory solution designed for WisBlock-based IoT systems. Built around the Fujitsu MB85RC1M storage chip, it offers 128 kByte capacity with exceptionally low power consumption and outstanding endurance for continuous operation.

Unlike EEPROM or Flash memory, FRAM enables virtually unlimited write and read cycles. The RAK15005 supports up to one trillion write cycles per byte and ensures data retention of up to 200 years at 35 °C, making it ideal for secure and consistent data storage even under heavy use.

It features a high-speed I²C interface (up to 1 MHz) for seamless integration. With a typical operating current of only 0.71 mA and a standby current of just 15 μA, the module is perfectly suited for battery-powered and energy-harvesting IoT solutions. The wide operating temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C ensures dependable performance in harsh or variable conditions.

At just 10 × 10 mm, the RAK15005 fits easily into compact designs, providing a robust and scalable memory extension for WisBlock and custom IoT applications.
