Outdoor LoRaWAN Gateway 8-Channel – RAKwireless WisGate Edge Pro RAK7289V2 (868 MHz) no LTE

The WisGate Edge Pro (RAK7289V2/RAK7289CV2) is a professional 868 MHz outdoor LoRaWAN gateway designed for reliable operation in harsh environments. This variant provides 8 channels powered by the Semtech SX1303 LoRa core, making it a strong fit for small-to-mid deployments that still need robust outdoor hardware—common in agriculture, smart city rollouts, industrial sites, and outdoor monitoring.

It ships in an IP67/NEMA-6 enclosure with cable glands and supports Ethernet, WiFi, and LTE backhaul, plus onboard GPS. Antenna design is deployment-friendly: internal antennas for LTE/WiFi/GPS, while LoRa uses external antennas. Note from the text: LoRa antennas are not included; the 8-channel variant requires one LoRa antenna.

On the software side, it runs WisGateOS 2 and supports remote management via WisDM. For LoRaWAN connectivity it supports Basics Station and packet forwarder operation.
