The RAKwireless RAK19015 is a WisBlock Battery Power Slot Module intended for applications powered by non-rechargeable batteries. Unlike power boards that add USB connectivity, the RAK19015 focuses on battery-only operation and explicitly targets scenarios where you do not want to give users access to the device firmware via a USB interface.
It is designed to be used with a WisBlock Base Board with Power Slot through the 40-pin WisBlock connector. The hardware is intentionally minimal: a battery connector, a reset push button, and two LEDs. The text also states it is optimized for very low-power applications by removing unnecessary components that would increase current draw, and it includes a high-efficiency switching regulator (also described as a 3.3 V switching regulator).
Typical use cases include sealed or tamper-resistant sensor nodes, battery-powered telemetry devices, and industrial/enterprise deployments where power consumption and controlled physical access matter.
