Product Description Technical Details

This WisBlock bundle combines a modular carrier platform with a dedicated power-slot module so you can move from bench prototyping to real hardware builds quickly. WisBlock Base is designed to let you plug in one WisBlock Core and multiple WisBlock modules to build a custom device. The system uses high-speed board-to-board connectors to provide secure, reliable interconnection and maintain signal integrity across shared buses—especially important when multiple sensors or expansion modules are used together.

The kit includes the RAK19011 WisBlock Dual IO Base Board with Power Slot, offering the most versatile slot layout in your text:

1× Core slot

1× Power slot

2× I/O slots

6× sensor slots (A–F)

For practical integration work, the RAK19011 also provides two 2.54 mm pitch headers exposing key WisBlock Core pins, including UART, I2C, and SPI, plus additional I/O. This is useful for lab bring-up, wiring in third-party modules, or validating interfaces while keeping the core WisBlock stack modular.

To make the platform truly usable, the bundle adds the RAK19012 WisBlock USB LiPo Solar Power Slot Module. It delivers the power and connector functions called out in your text: USB-C for programming and debugging, a battery connector with an onboard charger, a solar panel connector, charge-status indication, two user-configurable LEDs, and a reset button. The RAK19012 specifically enables firmware upload and debugging of the WisBlock Core via the USB-C connector, which is ideal for iterative development and service access.

Practical use cases enabled by this kit:

Multi-module IoT nodes with multiple sensors and expansions where stable interconnect and bus access matter.

Field prototypes powered by a LiPo battery, with straightforward USB-C flashing and debug access.

Remote monitoring builds that can use solar charging (within the stated voltage limits) to extend uptime.

Notes stated in the text: fasten modules with screws for proper function. Only 3.7–4.2 V rechargeable Li-ion batteries are supported. Only 5 V solar panels (up to 6 V) are supported; do not use 12 V panels.
