The Milesight UR32L is a “lite” industrial cellular router designed for projects that need reliability and security at scale—without unnecessary complexity. It combines 4G LTE (CAT4) with wired Ethernet for stable connectivity in cabinets, machines, technical rooms, and distributed field deployments. Its compact footprint makes it easy to fit into tight spaces and standardize across multi-site rollouts.
Uptime is a core requirement in the field. The UR32L supports automatic failover/failback between cellular and Ethernet, so sites stay reachable when one uplink degrades. An embedded hardware watchdog helps recover from faults automatically. For secure remote access, it supports multiple VPN tunnels (including IPsec, OpenVPN, WireGuard, DMVPN, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, and ZeroTier) plus a broad set of network protocols. For controlled access in IT/OT environments, it supports AAA (Radius, TACACS+, LDAP, local authentication) and multi-level user roles.
For operations teams, centralized management matters. The UR32L supports connection and management with MilesightVPN, and DeviceHub for status monitoring and bulk configuration. In global projects, it’s a strong fit when paired with the Kilo Connectivity Global SIM card to standardize connectivity across regions.
Concrete real-world examples:
Machine builders: remote service access and diagnostics for customer-installed equipment.
Industrial automation cabinets: secure connectivity for PLCs, edge gateways, and industrial PCs.
Energy & utilities: connect remote monitoring/control points with VPN-secured access.
Construction and temporary sites: quick connectivity for cameras, site containers, or sensor gateways.
Logistics yards: connect gate systems, scales, or monitoring equipment where fixed lines aren’t available.
The router uses a rugged metal IP30 enclosure and supports -40°C to +70°C operation (with reduced cellular performance above 60°C). A wide 9–48 VDC input range simplifies industrial power integration. Optional PoE output (802.3af/at PSE) is available on LAN ports.
