Product Description Technical Details

The Milesight EM300-DI turns existing pulse-output meters into remotely readable endpoints without replacing the meter. It counts pulses via a dry-contact GPIO and reports over LoRaWAN (EU868)—ideal for meter pits, basements, plant rooms, outdoor cabinets, and distributed sites where manual readings are expensive or inconsistent.

Counting accuracy matters more than marketing claims, especially in noisy electrical environments. EM300-DI supports digital filtering to reject interference pulses and keep counts stable. It also supports operational counting controls (stop/refresh/clear/accumulated counting) and provides water flow/outage alarms plus temperature threshold alarms for faster issue detection.

Because many meter locations are also risk points (condensation, heat, humidity), the device includes temperature and humidity sensors to log environmental conditions at the installation point.

Realistic deployment examples:

Utility and property meter reading: automate water meter reads across buildings or remote assets.

Agricultural irrigation: track irrigation consumption and detect outages or abnormal patterns.

Industrial water usage: trend consumption and spot anomalies/leaks through alarms.

Any passive pulse meter: wherever a passive pulse output is available and you want central reporting.

For reliability, EM300-DI provides on-device storage (1,000 entries), data retrievability, and retransmission. Configuration is done via NFC (app) or downlink. Power is via a replaceable 4000 mAh Li-SOCl2 battery with an optional 8000 mAh version; the provided spec lists 5 years at a 10-minute interval (25°C), and the manufacturer also references up to 10 years with a dual/extended battery setup.
