Nexelec ATMO+ X260LR combines ten measurement functions in one room sensor: CO2, VOC, formaldehyde, particulate matter, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, presence, luminosity and noise. It is installed where indoor air quality, comfort conditions and room usage need regular measurement, including offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, hotels, rental apartments, public buildings and technical indoor spaces.
The E-Ink display shows ambient measurements directly on the device. It is easy to read, unobtrusive in the room and useful where occupants, guests or staff need to see measured values without opening additional software. The display can be configured according to the installation requirements.
For CO2 monitoring, ATMO+ uses a green/orange/red indicator that makes ventilation needs visible. The sensor measures CO2 every 5 minutes. Thresholds can be adjusted via NFC or LoRaWAN. An audible signal can also be enabled when indoor air quality deteriorates.
The formaldehyde sensor is factory-calibrated and uses electrochemical measurement technology to detect low HCHO concentrations. This is relevant in rooms with furniture, flooring, coatings or building materials that may emit formaldehyde. ATMO+ measures HCHO in real time and provides data for evaluating indoor exposure.
For particulate matter, ATMO+ uses an optical sensor based on laser scattering. It distinguishes PM1, PM2.5 and PM10, making fine-particle exposure visible in indoor spaces. This is useful in schools, hotels, offices, residential buildings and sites using air filtration or ventilation management.
The VOC sensor uses sensitive MOx detection technology to measure volatile organic compounds in indoor air. VOCs are common in offices, workshops, occupied rooms and newly furnished interiors. The measured data helps operators assess whether ventilation, filtration or other corrective actions are needed.
ATMO+ also detects smoke from cigarettes and e-cigarettes. This function is relevant for hotels, rental properties, schools, student housing and non-smoking areas where smoking violations need to be detected discreetly and technically.
In addition to air quality values, the sensor measures room parameters for building operation and comfort. The PIR sensor detects presence, the luminosity sensor measures ambient light, the noise sensor measures sound level, and the atmospheric pressure sensor provides additional environmental data. ATMO+ can support room occupancy monitoring, lighting control, noise assessment, ventilation, heating and air-conditioning decisions.
Configuration is handled by NFC from a smartphone. More than 25 parameters can be adjusted, including measurement intervals, data transmission intervals, light and sound indicators, and LoRaWAN radio regions such as EU868, US915 or AS923. Configuration can be done through the packaging, without the sensor being powered.
For LoRaWAN installations, ATMO+ supports grouped measurement data and redundant transmission. Measurements can be grouped in a single LoRaWAN frame and sent multiple times to improve reception by the network gateway. Transmitted data is secured with double AES128 encryption.
The built-in microSD card stores up to 10 years of sensor measurements. This keeps measurement history locally available if power or radio communication is temporarily unavailable. A front button allows instantaneous measurement by occupants or technicians; this function can be deactivated.
The sensor is powered by USB-C and can be used free-standing, wall-mounted or mounted on a flush-mounted box. A 3M® adhesive mount is included. The lockable mounting base reduces the risk of removal, and anti-tear detection reports when the product is removed from its mounting base. Side openings for 270° air intake and an integrated insect barrier support stable ambient air analysis. The stated product service life is over 10 years.
