The RAK12500 WisBlock GNSS Location Module is a modular GNSS add-on designed for production-minded IoT builds. It’s intended to be used together with a WisBlock Core and a WisBlock Base module, letting you add reliable positioning without redesigning your whole device.
Powered by the u-blox ZOE-M8Q, the RAK12500 supports multiple satellite constellations (GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, and BeiDou) to improve availability and consistency in real-world deployments. With up to a 10 Hz update rate, it’s suitable for both periodic location reporting and more dynamic tracking use cases. Integration is straightforward via UART (serial) or I²C, making it easy to fit into low-power sensor nodes and mobile assets.
If you’re building battery-operated IoT hardware, the RAK12500 is a practical choice thanks to its low-power design and fast acquisition behavior—helping you capture location data while keeping energy consumption under control.
