The Dragino SPH01-LB measures soil pH and soil temperature at the same time. It fits sites where soil acidity or alkalinity should not just be checked occasionally, but tracked over longer periods. That matters in growing environments where irrigation, fertilization, and crop management need to be adjusted to actual soil conditions.
Typical deployments include greenhouses, vegetable production, orchards, nurseries, specialty crops, trial plots, and professionally managed open-field agriculture. It also makes sense in irrigation projects and for system integrators building LoRaWAN-based agricultural monitoring across multiple zones. Instead of relying only on handheld spot checks, operators can follow changes in soil condition continuously and use the data for longer-term evaluation.
The probe is designed for long-term burial in soil and carries an IP68 rating. The SPH01-LB uses temperature compensation for pH measurement and also reports soil temperature. That is useful in the field because pH readings are rarely interpreted on their own, and temperature adds context to the measurement.
For growers, operators, and integrators, the SPH01-LB is most relevant where sensing points need to run for long periods without local power. Bluetooth 5.1 helps with setup on site, OTA updates reduce maintenance work, and the LB version with its 8500 mAh Li/SOCl2 battery is intended for long service life. It is a practical fit for fixed agricultural monitoring points where soil chemistry and temperature need to be reported over LoRaWAN.
