Connected Smoke Alarm with 5-Year Battery – Nexelec GUARD X855LS

Nexelec GUARD X855LS is a connected smoke alarm for indoor use. It uses photoelectric smoke detection based on the scattered light principle and alerts occupants with a loud 85 dB alarm at 3 metres.

The X855LS is installed in apartments, rental homes, residential buildings, student housing and managed property portfolios. Landlords, housing operators, facility teams and maintenance providers use it where smoke alarms need to warn locally while also reporting technical status such as battery condition, faults or removal from the mounting base.

The detection chamber includes electronic dust compensation to reduce false alarms. An integrated insect barrier helps protect the chamber from small insects that could interfere with smoke detection. Air 360° detection supports smoke intake from different directions.

The detector can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. The set includes the detector, one CR123 battery, the BASE+ mounting base, two nylon screws and plugs, and a user manual. The large touch-sensitive button on the front is used for testing and silencing. The silence function stops the alarm or places the detector in standby for 3 minutes. Fault beeps can be delayed for 8 hours when inspection or replacement is required.

The X855LS radio version supports LoRaWAN and Sigfox. This allows the detector to be integrated into compatible wireless networks without wired infrastructure inside the home. The replaceable CR123 lithium battery is specified for 5 years of operation.
