This variant features an MHF antenna connector and is optimized for the US915 MHz frequency band, making it ideal for applications in the United States, Canada, and other regions using the same radio standards.

Product Description Technical Details

The RAK11720 is a low-power stamp module for long-range wireless use. It combines the Ambiq Apollo3 Blue MCU with the Semtech SX1262 LoRa chip. Communication runs over LoRaWAN or LoRa point-to-point, and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 is also built in.

The module shares the same pinout as the RAK3172. Existing designs can be reused and BLE support can be added by swapping the module, without changing the PCB.

This version comes with an MHF connector, so an external antenna can be connected directly. That helps keep the wireless link stable, even at longer ranges.

With both LoRa and BLE available, the RAK11720 fits many IoT setups. It’s commonly used in building automation, sensor networks, smart city projects, and industrial monitoring.

The module ships with RUI3 AT firmware. It works with RAK3172 and RAK4631-R setups, and custom firmware can be built using the RUI3 API.
