The RAK13009 is one of those small modules that solves a very real build problem: you want to add a Qwiic/STEMMA-QT sensor, but you don’t want to sacrifice your WisBlock IO slot. This adapter fits into a WisBlock sensor slot, giving you a clean Qwiic (I²C) connection while keeping your base board layout flexible.
It’s especially useful for fast iterations—swap Qwiic sensors during testing, try different breakouts, or expand an existing WisBlock node without reworking the whole stack. If you’re building compact enclosures, the standardized cable and connector system also helps keep wiring tidy.
Common uses:
Rapid sensor prototyping with Qwiic/STEMMA-QT modules on WisBlock
Adding I²C breakouts when the IO slot is already occupied
Modular IoT nodes for building monitoring, labs, agriculture, or pilot deployments
System integration where you want WisBlock + a specific third-party Qwiic breakout
A matching cable is included and follows the standard Qwiic color scheme, which makes field builds and troubleshooting easier.
