USB Battery Power Slot Module for WisBlock – RAKwireless RAK19014

The RAKwireless RAK19014 is a WisBlock Battery USB Power Slot Module designed for devices powered by non-rechargeable batteries. It combines a battery connector with a USB Type-C port so you can program and set up the WisBlock Core via USB, while keeping the power path simple—there is no charging circuitry onboard as explicitly stated.

The module is intended for a WisBlock Base Board with Power Slot and connects through the 40-pin WisBlock connector. To support very low-power applications, the RAK19014 is intentionally minimal: it includes only the USB connector, battery connector, and a 3.3 V switching regulator, avoiding additional components that would increase current consumption. This makes it a practical choice for battery-powered IoT nodes that need long runtime but still require occasional firmware updates or on-site configuration via USB-C.

Typical use cases include battery-powered sensor nodes deployed in industrial or building environments, low-power telemetry devices, and field prototypes where USB access is required but charging is not part of the design.
