Product Description Technical Details

The RAK13600 WisBlock NFC Reader Module brings 13.56 MHz NFC capability to WisBlock projects in a compact, low-power form. Built around the NXP PN532, it enables reading and writing of NFC tags, RFID cards, and NFC-capable devices such as smartphones—useful for access control, device onboarding, asset identification, maintenance check-ins, and “tap-to-configure” workflows.

It supports multiple operating modes and standards, including ISO/IEC 14443A (MIFARE), ISO/IEC 14443B, FeliCa, and peer-to-peer communication via ISO/IEC 18092 / ECMA-340. The external NFC antenna makes enclosure integration more flexible, especially when antenna placement matters for consistent reads.

To use the module you need a WisBlock Base (slot/power) and a WisBlock Core to run the NFC reader together with the antenna as part of your full application.
